Mark grew up messing about in Letcombe Brook and has lived locally for most of his life so was delighted to be able to take on the Project Officer role in 2018. Following a varied career, he returned to education at the ripe age of 40 and gained a degree in Zoology at Reading University. 6 years at BBOWT further developed his knowledge of ecology and habitat management where he went on to become Community Reserves Manager for Oxfordshire. He has always been obsessed with fish and other aquatic beasties but also loves working with volunteers to help improve the natural environment for both people and wildlife.
